New VELCRO® Brand Website Kick-off

Site Sets the Stage for Global Evolution of Brand and Digital Marketing

MANCHESTER, NH – March 29, 2012 - The Velcro Companies, a technology-driven, global organization providing fastening solutions for businesses and consumers around the world, are pleased to launch an entirely redesigned brand website – This is a major milestone in realizing the companies’ new global branding platform. In the coming months, the company will be rolling out new websites, in four additional languages to help customers around the world.

The new site homepage stimulates consumer exploration of VELCRO® brand product uses through a series of interactive scenes including:

Rich in imagery, comprehensive individual product pages guide users toward purchase and locating the product at retailers near them. In the coming months, e-commerce functionality will be added to product pages.

Business to business users (B2B) will also find a more interactive site for their use. Each strategic business unit landing page is enhanced with new overview information and interactive, application-driven presentations of VELCRO® Brand product use cases. For B2B customers looking to navigate directly to the business product portfolio, an alternate product navigation system allows direct access to the entire range of business products and specifications.

Social media links have become more prominent as the site prepares for upcoming functionality enhancements, setting the stage for consumer-generated content, new customer service management tools and digital marketing follow through. Additionally, the site design has been optimized for the growing variety of end user screen formats.
