How to Make a DIY Advent Calendar
Materials:
– VELCRO® Brand HANGables® Removable Wall Hooks
– 25 fabric bags with numbers
– Chocolates (or other treats of your choice!)
– Christmas tree decoration shaped like a star
- Start with Your Hooks
This DIY advent calendar could not be easier to make!
Begin with a pack of VELCRO® Brand HANGables® Removable Wall Hooks and stick them to the wall in the shape of a Christmas tree. The beauty of using these removable hooks instead of pins is that they’ll peel cleanly off the wall after Christmas, leaving no marks!
- Hang a Star
Hang a Christmas tree decoration shaped like a star on the top hook for some added holiday flair.
- Add Your Treats
Next, take 25 fabric bags and number them 1-25 (we bought some fabric numbers and stuck them on with PVA glue). Then fill each bag with a different treat.

When Christmas is over and each bag is empty, this reusable advent calendar could not be easier to take down and store away! Each removable hook will peel cleanly off the wall without leaving any marks and the bags can be stored away until next year!
