School looks a lot different this year, but we’re here to help with our best back to school tips!
Whether this year’s classroom is back at school or still at home, we’re put together our most helpful tips for going back to school in 2020!
5 Helpful Back to School Tips
Re-establish a routine with a DIY schedule
Most people’s normal routines have changed over the course of the pandemic so when school starts, it’s important to re-establish some structure in your child’s day.
You could do this by making DIY schedule made with VELCRO® Brand Sticky Back Coins. If your child is back in the classroom, this is a great way to manage their homework and after school activities. And if they’re being home-schooled, it’s a great way to structure their day of learning!
Create a productive home study space
Whether your child is doing homework or being home-schooled, they will need a calm, quiet place to study. If you can, we’d recommend setting up a homework station in a quiet corner of the house – somewhere dedicated to study where they will be able to get in the zone for learning!
Hang noticeboards, calendars and pencil pots on the wall with VELCRO® Brand HANGables® Removable Wall Fasteners and for more inspiration, check out our top tips for creating an inspiring homework station here.
Make hand washing fun
Hand washing will be part of your child’s new daily routine at school so why not try to make it fun? Teach them how to wash their hands properly with soap and water by singing a song or counting.
Minimize the morning rush
There’s no doubt about it – mornings are hectic! But you can minimize the rush by putting your jackets and schoolbags by the front door the night before. Organize your hallway with a VELCRO® Brand HANGables® Removable Wall Hook for each child’s essentials!
Listen to them
Finally, school is a lot different this year so make sure to listen to your child and reassure them about any concerns they may have.
