How do you remove mounting squares without damaging paint?

To remove the double-sided tape squares, gently heat the tape with a hairdryer to soften the adhesive. Start at one corner and slowly peel it away while continuously applying heat. You can use a plastic card or scraper to help lift the tape. After removal, clean any remaining adhesive with adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol.
